The Winery
Torre Rosazza: the quintessence of Friuli
The vineyards of the Colli Orientali del Friuli are easily recognizable for their sophistication and perfection. At Torre Rosazza we act meticulously, both in the care of the vineyards and in the grape processing. Doing so, we preserve the distinctive characteristics of each bunch. That's how our wines come to be: elegant and with a fresh taste, with every sip you can taste the richness of our land and of our Friuli.
For this reason we grow indigenous varieties, especially the white ones like Friulano, Ribolla Gialla and the inimitable Picolit. But our area is also about open-mindedness: with the same care, we cultivate red varieties and the international ones, and with the same conviction we innovate our vinification techniques.

Our history
A crossroads of peoples, cultures and traditions
Torre Rosazza has always intertwined its history with that of the entire region. It lies just a few kilometres from Cividale del Friuli: the heart of Colli Orientali, the ancient Forum Iulii founded in the first century B.C. by the Romans. The Serenissima dominated this area since the mid-fifteenth century; here, there was the occupation by the Austrians during the First World War, and by the German troops during the Second. Here peoples, cultures, and traditions came together: that is the “soul of Friuli” that distinguishes us from everyone else.
Our world
Nature is on our side
Our estate is in the hills of Rosazzo, in an excellent micro-zone for wine production in Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC.

Grave del Friuli
Geography
The Grave del Friuli cover an area of around 7,000 hectares on either side of the Tagliamento River, between the provinces of Pordenone and Udine.

The wines
The soul of friuli has always been contemporary.
We strongly believe that making wine also means breaking the mould. Care of the vines is entirely manual: from pruning to harvesting. We use all the techniques of soil management to allow the vines to resist drought and the high temperatures in summer. But the centre of innovation is the winery, where all of our work is done in the most meticulous way possible.
Always remembering our origins, we constantly update our techniques: the bâtonnage, that makes our wines more structured; presses for the maceration process; the “resting” method, that makes the must and wine more aromatic; the slow and low- temperature controlled fermentation to maintain the aromatic characteristics of the grapes after picking.
